Fox on the loose bites four in Rotterdam before capture

A wild fox caused quite a commotion in Rotterdam-Hillegersberg these past days. The animal bit at least four people before finally being caught on Monday, according to the police. At least 15 police officers in six police cars arrived to deal with the animal after the municipality called them in, newspaper AD reports. The fox was caught a short time later by the police's dog handler. The fox was taken to Bleiswij, where it was put to sleep. Its carcass will be examined for diseases in Lelystad. The police urges everyone who was bitten to seek medical advice as soon as possible.
