Sunny days ahead as 25 degrees predicted in Netherlands

With reporting by Jacopo Bernardini. Weather forecasters are cautiously optimistic about the potential for summer temperatures to arrive in the Netherlands by the weekend. A high temperature of 25 degrees is expected inland on Saturday, with coastal temperatures likely to peak at 22 degrees, national meteorological agency KNMI predicted. The rest of this week should see the weather generally improve to a sunny weekend. Though it could be chilly on Tuesday, the sun is expected to shine, even leading to a 19 degree high in Amsterdam on Thursday, a remarkable increase compared to last week, when temperatures dipped below freezing in the run up to King’s Day. “Forecasts for the weekend are still highly uncertain, but it's very probable we will have some days of summer weather,” Jennifer Fabier of weather website Buienradar told RTL Nieuws.
