Phone outage hits hospitals, doctor’s offices

Many doctors and hospitals were difficult or impossible to reach on Monday morning due to a national phone outage. It is not clear how many practices were affected. But E-Zorg, which controls the secure network, stated that it was a national problem. According to a practice in Beneden-Leeuwen, their patients were told that their number does not exist and they could not access the system used to plan appointments, RTL reports. The failure was sorted out around 11:30 on Monday morning. According to E-Zorg, all hospitals and doctors should be able to access the network again.
