Two more dead babies found in Heerhugowaard home
The bodies of two babies were discovered in a home in Heerhugowaard last month. The woman believed to be the babies' mother committed suicide in a mental health institute where she was staying just days before the gruesome find, news wire ANP reports.
The police decided to search the woman's home in Heerhugowaard based on letters found in her room after her suicide. In the letters she wrote about babies she had and killed.
According to RTV Noord-Holland, the Netherlands Forensic Institute is investigating when the babies were born, but it is difficult to determine with such young children. The gender of the babies are unknown.
The investigation at the Heerhugowaard home ended last week. As the suspect is deceased, the investigation is limited. The police do not believe that there is any connection between this case and the dead babies discovered in Alkmaar and Heerhugowaard in 2014 and 2015.
