Pig’s head found at Turkish mosque in Utrecht town
A pig's severed head was discovered in the street in front of the Turkish Hakyol mosque in Mijdrecht, Utrecht on Sunday. The police removed the head and are looking for the perpetrator, RTV Utrecht reports.
According to the broadcaster, the pig's head was found around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. The perpetrator was caught on several surveillance cameras. The police have the footage. According to the police, the mosque received no further threats.
This is the third protest in which pigs were used in the past two months. The other two incidents were related to protests against asylum centers. In November 12 pig's heads were scattered around the construction site of a large asylum center in Eschmarkerveld in Enschede. Earlier this month two dead piglets were found on the planned site of an asylum center in the Brabant town of Heesch. One piglet was on the roof of a transformer box, the other was found hanging from a tree.
