Dutch MPs angered by Juncker’s Ukraine referendum push; Wilders: “Intimidation
European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker warns that a definite "no vote" in the Netherlands' referendum about the association agreement with Ukraine in April will lead to a major crisis. PVV leader Geert Wilders calls this warning "intimidation". D66 leader Alexander Pechtold sees it as a threat.
In an interview with NRC Juncker stated that those who participate in the referendum "need to understand that this issue transcends Dutch interests." "Let us not turn the referendum into a referendum on Europe", he said, adding that he hopes the Dutch will not vote no "for reasons unrelated to the agreement itself."
On Twitter Wilders calls this intimidation. "The intimidation of the EU-elite starts again. But it won't help them any longer. Netherlands says NO", he tweeted.

D66 leader Alexander Pechtold is also unimpressed by the warning. "The voter has never been convinced by these kinds of implicit threats", he tweeted.
