Another violent home invasion in Tilburg’s Vlashof neighborhood

Al elderly couple was attacked in their apartment on Bartokstraat in Tilburg around 3:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Two men forced their way into the flat, attacked the couple, locked them in their bedroom and then left after stealing some items. The police cordoned off the street and emergency services are present at the scene, according to Omroep Brabant. A witness told the broadcaster that she heard a lot of screaming. Another witness saw the woman on the gallery with the flat, holding a bloody pillow and shouting for help. The woman was taken to the police station, her injured husband to the hospital. It is not yet clear what was stolen. This is the third incident in the apartment building on Bartokstraat this year. In November a disturbed man threatened to open the gas valve and blow up his apartment. In April Hiwat Therese was found murdered in her flat. A 19 year old man was arrested.
