Feyenoord advances plan for new Rotterdam football stadium
Feyenoord's plan for a new football stadium seems to be moving forward. The Rotterdam team hopes to be playing in a brand new stadium soon after 2020, the Telegraaf reports.
According to the newspaper, the leadership of Feyenoord and the municipality of Rotterdam have been doing a lot of homework behind the scenes. It is expected that the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, company of world famous Rotterdam architect Rem Koolhaas, will be give the official order for the first task before the end of this month. The first task will be developing a regional vision.
Once this vision is in place, the City Council can make a provisional decision this coming summer.
Stakeholders in NV Stadium Feijenoord will be meeting in Rotterdam on Monday evening to discuss the plans for the stadium for the coming years.
