Radboud University to start lecture series for asylum seekers

Radboud University in Nijmegen is starting a series of lectures for university educated asylum seekers currently living in the tent camp on Heumensoord. The lectures will start at the end of this month. The series will include eight lectures covering topics such as Dutch society, history, international legislation and migration, AD reports. Relatively many highly educated Syrian refugees are currently living in the tent camp, with nothing to do while the wait for their asylum procedure. The university expects that dozens will be interested in these lectures. The lectures are the initiative of two secretaries of the law faculty, who volunteer at the emergency shelter, according to the newspaper.
