Man lured into armed robbery by internet date

A 32 year old man from Oude Pekela went to Amersfoort on Monday night for what he thought was a date, only to be threatened and almost robbed by two men. According to the police, the man had made an appointment with a woman he met through the internet at a home on Leonardo da Vincistraat. He arrived around 6:55 p.m. on Monday and parked his car at a playground next to Hendirck de Keijserlaan. When he got out of his car, he was accosted by two men. He did not trust the situation and kept walking. One of the men shouted at him that they wanted money. When he turned around he saw that one suspect had what looked like a firearm. The man took off running and started banging on the window of a nearby house. The suspects gave up and took off. The police are looking for witnesses. The first suspect has tanned skin, is about 26 years of age and had several days growth of beard. He has a stocky build and is about 1.78 meters tall. He was wearing a leather jacket, jeans and a hat, all dark in color. The second suspect is a white male around the age of 21 years and has a slim build. He is about 1.78 meters tall and short blond hair that he wore combed back. He was also wearing a leather jacket and had a well-groomed appearance.
