Investigation into April murder stalls; Police look for witnesses

The police are calling on witnesses to help them with the investigation into the murder of 31 year old Tommie van der Burg at the Hotel Van der Valk on Aalsterweg on April 13th. According to the police, their investigation over the past months have led to several clues for further investigation, but not yet to the solution of the case. Tommie van der Burg died of several gunshots in his car at the Hotel van der Walk around 1:00 a.m on Monday April 13th. He had been living in the hotel for some time. The motive behind his murder might be related to criminal activity, but the police are not ruling out a motive in the relationship sphere. Before his murder Van der Burg was in the cafe 't Borreluur on Geldorpseweg in Eindhoven. The police have spoken to a number of people who were in the cafe on the night of April 12th to April 13th, but wold like to make contact with anyone who was there and have not yet spoken to them. The police would also like to talk to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in or around the Hotel Van der Valk on the night of the murder.
