Dutch fined €3,000 for spoiled food, bad hygiene at Milan World Expo

The Italian food and product safety authority fined the Dutch pavilion at the World Expo in Milan 3 thousand euros for spoiled food and insufficient hygiene standards. Hygiene inspectors decided to check out the Dutch pavilion after an Italian family got sick from the food there, AD reports based on information from Italian news agency la Repubblica. The inspectors found dozens of kilograms of rotten meat and bread stored in garbage bags. According to the Italian police, the Dutch people manning the pavilion admitted that they made a mistake and are willing to pay the fine.
