Two suspects killed during police chase

Two suspects were killed in a car accident during a police chase in Ede on Tuesday. The police received a report of an attempted burglary in Ede along with the licence plate of a car that may be involved. Patrolling officers spotted the car a short time later. The driver of the car sped away at high speed and the police gave chase. The driver lost control of the car on Horalaan and crashed. One passenger died at the scene. The other was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He later died of his injuries. The police are still investigating the victims' identities and will release further information as it becomes available. The Traffic Accident Analysis team is also investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
