Amsterdam climbs to third on IBM global foreign investment ranking
Amsterdam has climbed one spot and reached third place on IBM's global foreign investment banking for 2015, I Amsterdam announced on Wednesday.
The ranking, called IBM Global Location Trends 2015, looks at how international nations and cities attract foreign investment projects.
London and Paris remained at number one and two respectively. Amsterdam and Singapore are sharing third place. Last year Amsterdam was behind Singapore at number four.
The Netherlands as a whole also showed improvement. The country scored well in terms of attracting high-value foreign investment, coming in 6th in the rankings. Foreign investment created a record 10,500 jobs in the country this year.
