Sharp rise in engineering, IT job vacancies

The labor market in engineering and IT is showing improvement. The number of vacancies is increasing and the number of unemployment benefits is decreasing, benefits agency UWV announced on Friday. According to the agency, the labor market opportunities for many technical courses are currently better than average, especially at higher levels. There is a shortage of technically skilled employees. People trained in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, construction and electrical engineering currently have the best opportunities. In the IT sector there are also many opportunities for people with higher level and scientific level training, such as developers and programmers in specific languages.
