Horse-drawn carriage crash injures six at folk festival

Six people were injured in an accident involving a runaway horse and two horsed-drawn carriages at the folklore festival in Schagen on Thursday afternoon. According to RTV Noord Holland, the two carriages crashed into each other when one of the horses freaked out. Both carriages ended up on their sides. Witnesses told the broadcaster that some of the victims were trapped under one of the carriages. According to the police, none of the victims were seriously injured and they have been taken to the hospital. All those injured were on the carriages when the accident happened, according to RTL Nieuws. No bystanders were harmed.
