Construction of Juliana Bridge restarted after crane collapse
The renovation work on the Juliana bridge in Alphen aan den Rijn restarted on Monday, the municipality announced on Monday.
According to NU, this involves activities that were not affected by the crane collapse last week. It is not clear yet when the cleanup of the accident's aftermath will start.
The contractors involved in the renovation of the bridge have released a statement on the renovation's website apologizing for the "great havoc and personal distress due to the dramatic crane incident". "The consequences of the accident touch us, Mourik, BSB and Peinemann, deeply", they write. "On behalf of all employees of the three companies, we express our sympathy to all those affected by the accident."
