Cop taken off the street after motorcycle dragging incident
The police officer involved in dragging a handcuffed boy to run along with his motorcycle in Almere on Monday, has been taken off the street while the internal investigation is ongoing, the police announced on Tuesday.
During the course of the investigation, the officer will only work at the police station.
The police also revealed that the arrested boy is only 13 years old. They are in contact with the boy's parents.
The boy was arrested after giving the officer a false identity twice in a row. The officer handcuffed him and made him run along with his motorcycle. A video of the incident was posted on Facebook and has since been viewed more than 310 thousand times.
