Second suspect in Eindhoven assault arrested

The police arrested a 2nd suspect in connection with the assault on a 19 year old man on Emmasingel, Eindhoven. The second suspect, a 26 year old man from Eindhoven, was arrested at the police station on Mathildelaan on Monday morning, the police confirm. The assault happened around 05:00 a.m. on Sunday. The victim was attacked by two men on a scooter. According to the police, the victim is still in hospital with, among other injuries, a broken nose and jaw, injuries to both eye sockets and a severe concussion. The first suspect, an 18 year old from Eindhoven, was arrested on Sunday morning shortly after the assault. The police caught him when he was involved in a collision with a bicycle on a bridge at Stratumseind. Both suspects are in custody for further investigation.
