One killed, one caught in Brabant shooting

A shooting incident in Brabant on Tuesday night left one man dead and another in custody. The shooting happened just before 8:00 p.m. at the caravan camp on Boekweit in The Bolle Akkers neighborhood in Sint-Oedenrode. The police initially arrested two suspects and took them to the police station in Den Bosch for questioning, Omroep Brabant reports. One of the suspects was later released and is now considered an important witness. "I immediately called the police when I realized that something is wrong. When I picked up the phone several police cars drove pass at full speed. They were on the spot very quickly." The police responded to the scene en masse. They used a helicopter and a sniffer dog to track down the people involved in the shooting. An air ambulance responded to help the victim, but to no avail. The man died on the scene. The victim's identity has not been confirmed yet, though the police have suspicions on who he may be. Nothing is known about the motive of the perpetrator. The investigation continues.
