Porn company hijacks school's web domain

A Geldorp primary school's web domain has been taken over by a pornography website. People searching for the school on the internet are exposed to explicit photos and links to sex-films. Last year the primary school changed its name from De Windroos to De Vlinder. It also changed it's website address, the Eindhovens Dagblad reports. The old address - bs-windroos.nl - was terminated. All went well until the old website address was taken over by a hosting company in Leeuwarden, registered in the name of a 24 year old Afghan man. The website now displays pornography. Both the school and the website builder have tried to get in touch with the new owner, but their efforts have so far been in vain. The school is now considering taking legal action. A website builder in Eindhoven told the newspaper that preventing such a situation is not difficult. You simply have to keep your old internet addresses on the air. "That will cost 10, 15 euros per year. But then you yourself have control over your own domain."
