Video: Eagle-eyed cop spots UK fugitive on Dam Square

A police officer who specializes in tracking down British fugitives arrested one such person on Dam square on Tuesday morning after spotting him on the street. The police filmed the arrest. The 36 year old British man is suspected of involvement in drug trafficking and money laundering. The police officer knew about the European arrest warrant against the man and recognized him when passing him on the street. The officer followed the man walking along the Nieuwendijk in the direction of Dam Square and notified the Operations Center to send backup. The officers arrested the man without any problems. He immediately told the police his real name. He said that it was a relief to finally be arrested, as now he would be able to see his kids in Britain again. The fugitive will be handed over to the British authorities for prosecution. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UMQ6dALYJU
