Girl, 8, dies after fall from flat

An 8 year old girl was found dead at an apartment building in Hoogeveen, Drenthe on Sunday night. The police responded to the apartment building De Arend after receiving a report of a suicide. A spokesperson for the police told AD that it is still unclear whether the child fell or jumped from the building. She died at the scene. The girl's mother has been arrested. The police are investigating her role in the child's death.
