Man caught with missing teen charged with sex assault

One of the men who were found with missing 14 year old Marilyn in Diemen on Monday, is suspected of sexually abusing the girl. Marilyn went missing from Hardinxveld-Giessendam on Friday last week. She never returned home from school. The police immediately launched an investigation and started spreading the girl’s photo through social media and the police website. On Sunday the police triggered a regional amber alert and spread information about the girl with an sms-action in Utrecht, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. She was found in a home in Diemen on Monday night. The two men that were in the home with her were arrested. According to RTL Nieuws, the man now suspected of sexually abusing the girl is the 35 year old resident of the home. The Public Prosecutor said that they had met through the internet. He will remain in custody for the next two weeks at least. The other man that was arrested on Monday has since been released and is no longer a suspect.
