"Fuck de Koning": Amsterdam royal palace tagged in protest

The words "Fuck the King" was spray-painted on the Royal Palace in Amsterdam sometime during Wednesday night. The city of Amsterdam has removed the text. The police have launched an investigation to find the vandals. This vandalism seems to be a reaction to the announced prosecution of activist Abulkasim Al-Jaberi. During a demonstration against Zwarte Piet in November last year, Al-Jaberi said "Fuck the king, fuck the queen, fuck the royal house". The Public Prosecutor decided to prosecute Al-Jaberi for insulting King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima. A spokesperson for the Public Prosecutor told NU that Al-Jaberi was offered a settlement. "He received a letter explaining that he must pay 500 euro fine for insulting the king and queen.
