Gelderland fire decimates historic building, restaurant

Fire ravaged a historic building in the center of Harderwijk on Tuesday, leaving a restaurant in ruin. No injuries were reported in the blaze that destroyed ‘t Rookerijtje located in the heart of the city center. Fire crews were on the scene before 7 a.m., and were still working on the building's roof in the afternoon. The flames did not spread to the surrounding buildings, but the fire polluted the area with heavy smoke.
