Fake cocaine dealer released from custody

The man suspected of selling white heroin as cocaine to tourists in Amsterdam has been released from custody. He will await his trial in freedom. The Amsterdam court ruled that there is not enough reason to keep him in custody, NOS reports. According to the court, there is too little evidence that the man deliberately sold white heroin as cocaine. The suspect claims that he really thought it was cocaine. In February the suspect was caught on surveillance camera selling drugs to three Danish tourists. They ended up in the hospital after using white heroin they thought was cocaine. The 42 year old suspect turned himself in to the police after recognizing himself in the images released by the police. The Prosecution suspects the man of attempted murder or manslaughter on the three tourists and drug trafficking.
