More belongings released to MH17 surviving family
A digital catalog containing photographs of MH17 victims' personal belongings will be made available to the victims' families on Tuesday, the Public Prosecutor announced. Those who recognize something belonging to a family member will then be able to claim it.
These personal belongings have now become available to the victims' families because the Public Prosecutor has lifted the criminal attachment. The Prosecutor has established that the belongings do not contain any information that is important to the criminal investigation into the perpetrators of the disaster.
"It is important that the personal property, that are so many mementos, be returned to the surviving family members as soon as possible." said Chief Officer Fred Westerbeke.
This is the second time that such a catalog will be shown to surviving families of MH17 victims.
