Remains of missing sailor found two months after accident

The mortal remains of Rick Broekmeulen was found at the Inlaag on Sunday morning. Broekmeulen had been missing since his ship capsized on the Westerschelde early in February. Passersby found the body around 11:20 a.m. at the jetty in the Westerschelde and notified the police. The police were able to get the man's body out of the water using vessels of the water police and KNRM. The police immediately launched an investigation into the man's identity. The body was taken to a morgue around 14:30 on Sunday afternoon. A forensic employee identified the body as the missing 35 year old sailor based on the available dental information.
