Amsterdam school principal suspected of child porn

The principal of the high school Het 4e Gymnasium, part of the Esprit School Community, has been suspended by the Executive Board as he is suspected of owning child pornography, the school community announced on their website. The principal himself informed the board that he is a suspect and the morality police confirmed this to the Executive Board. According to the Board, there is "as yet no reason to believe that there is also involvement regarding the sexual abuse of children". The school held a meeting for parents on last night. The police and municipal health service were present at the meeting. The suspended principal informed the parents at the meeting that he never did anything dishonorable to a child or young person with a letter that was read out loud, Het Parool reports. "I realize that I acted culpably and immoral. I wish to stress that I never did anything dishonorable with a child or young person, not within or outside the school." he wrote.
