Friesland sex trafficking case nets two arrests

The police arrested a 63 year old man and a 39 year old woman in Franeker on Wednesday. The man is suspected of money laundering, force prostitution and exploitation. Three people laid charges against him. The man was arrested at around 09:00 on Wednesday morning in his house on Spaarbankstraat. Following the arrest the police searched three homes in the Professorenbuurt. The 39 year old woman was arrested on one of these properties. The police seized a large amount of cash, weapons and luxury goods such as scooters and cars. The man is still in police custody and will be arraigned this week.
