Dijsselbloem critical Greece in WWII reparations claim
According to Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem (Finance, Euro Group chairman), Greece should not accuse other countries of causing its problems. "There is a lot of verbal abuse. I do not think it serves any purpose." he said on Friday, the AD reports. There is a lot of criticism in Greece over Germany. According to the country, Germany was too strict in the Greek debt issue. Athens has also put reparations from Germany for damage caused in World War II back on the agenda. Dijsselbloem thinks that Germany has done a lot for Greece. "I believe that the Germans have made a great effort to help Greece with cheap loans in the past years." He thinks it's time for everyone to take a "constructive position" and get the Greek economy back on track.
