Sex trafficker gets 5 years prison; ordered to pay €500k to victims

The court in The Hague yesterday sentenced a 32 year old man to 5 years in prison for the sexual exploitation of two women. The man forced these women to work as prostitutes for almost 8 years. The perpetrator exploited one of the women between September 2006 and May 2014 and the other one between October 2005 and July 2013. They worked from the man's home, advertised on the internet and worked in the window prostitution streets in various places in the Netherlands and Antwerp. The man took all the money the women earned. In addition to the prison sentence, the perpetrator also has to pay 540 thousand euros in compensation to the two victims.
