Utrecht serial sex offender gets six years
Eduard M., the so-called serial sex offender, has been sentenced to six years in prison by the court in Utrecht, Het Parool reports.
In Utrecht in 2013 and 2014 M. forced two women to perform oral sex, threatening one with a knife and the other with a fake gun, and unexpectedly ejaculated in another woman's face. M. is not to be confused with the recently arrested alleged serial rapist Gerard T. who raped several women between 1995 and 2001.
The Public Prosecution demanded a 8 year prison sentence for M., who was arrested on October 24th last year shortly after DNA from the semen from the three cases showed resemblance to that of M.'s brother in the DNA data base. The Netherlands Forensic Institute then found a 100 percent match with M.'s DNA.
M. does not deny committing these crimes, but claims that he can not remember it because of smoking bad weed. The psychiatrist a Public Prosecutor do not believe this claim of amnesia.
