Air France: No plans to destroy KLM

Air France-KLM has no intention of demolishing KLM, and thereby putting tens of thousands of jobs in the Netherlands in danger, the airline announced on Sunday. This announcement follows an article in De Telegraaf on Friday, which stated that Air France would make a final attempt to fully incorporate KLM this week. If KLM was really marginalized, tens of thousands of jobs could be lost. Air France-KLM completely denies the "false and malicious" allegations on Sunday, De Telegraaf reports. According to the company, the idea of a French coup is "ridiculous" and the talks about the demolition of KLM and endangerment of local jobs is "complete nonsense". "No company wants to destroy or halve itself," the company said. On Friday the company said that it reserves the right to take action against De Telegraaf for its article.
