Amsterdam gangland slaying detailed
The police have released more information regarding the gang war murder of Mario Magan Tier. The 45 year old Tier was shot close to his car just after midnight on Saturday night/Sunday morning on Bertelmanstraat in Amsterdam South. He died of his injuries on the scene.
Mario Magan Tier, also known as Bolle Mario or the Spaniard, was the son of a Spanish father and a Dutch mother. He grew up in Amsterdam and fathered two children. He used to belong to the Bertelmanplein group and was later involved the organization of kick boxing galas with his company Real Fighters. Tier was a suspect in an ongoing investigation into large-scale drug trafficking.
After the execution witnesses saw the shooter walking on Des Présstraat and then Pieter Lastmankade. He was last seen on the corner of Hendrik Jacobzstraat. The perpetrator is a dark skinned man, about 170 - 175 centimeter tall and between the ages of 30 to 35 years. He has a round face and a normal to slim build. He was dressed in a dark colored, possibly padded jacket, dark jeans and a hood or a hat.
At the same time a dark BMW was seen driving over Pieter Lastmankade at high speed. The car was seen crossing the Lyceumbrug and disappeared in the direction of Olympiaplein. This was presumably the getaway car, which may have dropped the shooter off or picked him up after the execution. The car is a dark sedan of the BMW 7 series and is an older model from the 90s.
The police wish to come in contact with anyone who may have witnessed the execution or saw the shooter or the getaway vehicle. They would also like to talk to anyone who can give more information about Mario Magan Tier's whereabouts earlier on Saturday.
