Gunshots leave one dead in Amsterdam Zuidoost

A man died in a shooting incident on Leerdamhof in Amsterdam Zuidoost in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the police report. Witnesses heard gunshots around 01:50 a.m. and informed the police. The police found the man dead on the street. He had been shot several times. The area has been closed off for investigation. According to the police, witnesses saw two men driving away on a moped. The moped was found burnt out on Maldenhof a short time later. As of yet it is still unknown whether the victim had any ties with the criminal world and whether this murder is connected to the series of executions in Amsterdam.
