Arrest made in Istanbul murder of Amsterdam crime suspect
The Turkish police have arrested 6 suspects in connection with the assassination of the Dutch-Turkish Ali Akgun, CNN Turkey reports According to CNN, a weapon was also confiscated during raids. It is not yet clear whether this is the murder weapon.
Akgun was shot and killed in his car while he was waiting for a traffic light in Istanbul on December 24th. The man was a prime suspect in the large Amsterdam execution process Passage.
Several suspects were also arrested in Turkey last week in connection with the murder of Vedat Sahin, who was also killed in Istanbul on December 24th.
