Muslim family threatened with beheading in Dutch letter

A Muslim man and his family in The Hague received a letter containing death threats last week. The direct cause seems to be the attacks in Paris. The letter writer threatens to "decapitate" the man and to blow up his house if he does not "fuck off" within a week, AD reports. The letter was delivered to the man's home address in Schilderswijk on Wednesday. "We give you a week's time to, roughly speaking, fuck off", the letter states. If the man does not listen, he will be decapitated, the letter continues. "We know what you're planning, just as your friends in Paris have done" The letter writer also threatens to  blow up the man's house. "Then not only you, but also your girlfriend and children will suffer." The letter writer seems to be well aware of the Muslim man's personal situation. The man maintains links with a group of Muslims in The Hague who are considered radical by the police. Some members of this group are in custody on suspicion of recruiting fighters for the war in Syria. The Muslim man says that he is not very impressed by the threat, AD reports. "I do not take it very seriously. But my mother, my wife and my attorney does." The threat was reported to the police. The letter can be read on AD.nl here.
