Escaped convict returns to Rotterdam prison

The man who escaped from the prison in Hoogvliet on Tuesday has been caught. The man turned himself in on Christmas Eve and is thus spending Christmas behind bars. The man escaped during a transfer to another location. The police immediately launched a search for the escaped prisoner, using a helicopter and search dogs, among other things. The search was called off when it turned out that the man was not dangerous, but was serving a sort of community service.
