Military transport plane with engine failure lands in Eindhoven

Alarms were sounded earlier today at Eindhoven Air Base when a Netherlands Royal Air Force KDC-10 aircraft reportedly suffered an engine failure while conducting a training flight.

Navigation aides were enabled for security purposes when it was thought that one of the aircraft's three engines had failed during a training flight over Belgium. The plane made a precautionary landing at about 1:15 p.m. The landing had gone smoothly, and the cause of the reported engine failure is being investigated.
