Police: No issue with Univ. Amsterdam protestors

Students and faculty who were peacefully protesting restructuring and cutbacks in the budget at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Amsterdam did so without any issues and without the police making any arrests. Students and teachers occupied the University's well known Oudemanhuispoort building in Amsterdam Centrum Tuesday night. They were protesting against the sequestrations in budget of up to ten million euros by 2017, and the proposed restructures in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Amsterdam. At about half past ten, the police appeared and rounded up all the students and faculty, to exit the building. Another protest is scheduled to take place on Thursday. https://twitter.com/ninavdgiessen/status/537291400506015746
