Drunk woman waving a gun arrested

On Saturday afternoon the police arrested a 39 year old woman from Alkmaar on suspicion of possession of a firearm. Around 12:15 pm on Saturday afternoon, the police received notification that a woman was waving a firearm on Oorsprongweg in Schoorl. The police found the woman sitting on a bench, clearly under the influence of alcohol, with a firearm next to her. Upon investigation the police found that the woman also had a kitchen knife in her possession. The woman explained that she was carrying the weapons for protection. The woman was arrested and the weapons confiscated.
