Posb. ATM bomb shuts Utrecht town

Hoogtraat in Driebergen, Utrecht was closed down today and houses and businesses evacuated during an investigation of a possible ATM bomb. Around 10:15 am this morning the police received a report that an ATM was possibly tampered with. The police and explosives specialists went to investigate and could not rule out the possibility that there might be an explosive in the ATM. The Explosive Ordance Disposal service arrived at the scene to investigate further. For the investigation Hoogstraat was closed down from Bostraat to the Traaij and homes and businesses were evacuated.
