130 kg of cocaine found buried in sesame seed shipment
Customs intercepted 130 kilograms of cocaine in the port of Rotterdam. The drugs have a market value of 4.5 million euro.
The cocaine shipment was packed into five sports bags, which were hidden among a cargo of sesame seeds. The container came into the Netherlands on a vessel from Panama.
Three men were arrested in the port area. The suspects are from Albania, Panama and Leiderdorp, Zuid Holland. Police allege the trio were at the site to collect the illicit delivery. The three suspects were in a car with false number plates, and they had burglars' equipment with them, according to a police report.
The suspects appeared before the magistrate yesterday. The drugs have been destroyed.
