Police fire warning shots, robbers escape

Police fired warning shots at robbers who committed a smash and grab robbery at a supermarket in Harderwijk this morning. Police PR reports that the criminals had smashed a store window at Selhorstweg, grabbed and made off in a car. Police officers set chase and at Strokel the robbers crashed their car against a pole. They jumped out and ran off even as officers fired warning shots. Police brought in tracker dogs and cordoned off a camping site, but the robbers still managed to get away. The search continues.
