Three month old critically hurt, mother arrested

Police in Hilversum have placed a woman in custody after responding to an incident in which the woman and her three-month-old baby were injured on Wednesday evening. Police apprehended the woman as a preemptive measure, as it is unclear what exactly happened. The woman and her baby were injured in their home on Wednesday after an incident. Police do say that it was not a stabbing or shooting. Both mother and baby were brought to the hospital for treatment. The nature of their injuries is also unknown. The father of the baby was not home at the time. Police are investigating.
