Random beating victim using Facebook to find offenders

Facebook has become a public forum not only for socialization, but also for justice as the girlfriend of 22-year-old Sebastiaan ter Maaten has taken to the social media platform to find the people that beat Sebastiaan up.  The student was cycling back home early Saturday morning when, at the roundabout in the A-road, Eendrachtskade, someone kicked his bike, causing Sebastiaan to fall. Sebastiaan was then kicked. After that, he saw two boys walk away laughing. The student was left with scars and bruising. He has file a report, and a declaration of abuse, with the police. Pictures of Sebastiaan's injuries were placed on Facebook, along with a call for witnesses to speak out if they saw anything. His girlfriend is the one who placed the message: 'senseless violence in Groningen.' It has been shared over 1,000 times.
