Twente grave robber in custody

A 59-year old woman has been apprehended for destruction and theft at various grave sites and various graveyards, Omroep Gelderland reports. The Police is holding her accountable for 90 cases of grave robbing at graves in Hof van Twente, Beckum and Haaksbergen. The woman stole bronze and copper ornaments such as candle holders and vases, and also destroyed graves. The police found items inside her home that could have been taken from grave sites. Last week Friday, the woman was already put in front of the examining judge. She is allowed to await her trial in freedom, but is not allowed to go near graveyards in the mean time. No details about the woman's motive have come to light.
