New A'dam hip-hop fest set for August

The organizers of the weekly R&B and Hip Hop evening 'Encore' in the Melkweg in Amsterdam will be debuting the first edition of their new festival with the same name, which will take place on the 31st of August on the NDSM-docks. This confirms earlier rumors that the organizers were planning on turning their successful club evenings into a festival edition. Although no acts have been named to perform at the festival, ticket sales started at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Encore is promising "a broad scale of strong live acts and dj's from the Netherlands and abroad." The festival will have three stages, and will provide a much similar experience as that in the Melkweg, where around 1500 people attend every week.
